Set the tone, then know the numbers
Leadership is not the same as being in charge. The leadership and ownership lessons cover the six things effective hotel leaders do every day and what it means to own the results. Hotel metrics turns occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor percentage, CPOR and GOPPAR into decisions, using one practical 80-room example.
The things only a manager handles
Part two of the guest death lesson is written for the manager on duty. Human trafficking awareness covers state training requirements and what owners and managers are responsible for. Complaint resolution covers when to comp and who decides.
Training the team
Every lesson on this site is free and runs eight to twenty-five minutes. The department pages give you a ready-made pre-shift rotation for the desk, housekeeping and maintenance, and the certificate lessons give you a record for the training file.
Certificates available
Completion certificates your staff can keep for the training file.
Start with the department pages
Assign each supervisor their department page and one lesson a week. In two months the whole property has covered the same material, and you have the certificates to show for the compliance topics.
